B-36 Peacemaker Museum is now taking applications for membership to our organization.  Dues are $40.00 per year and with your membership you are entitled to free admission to the museum and a 10% discount on any B-36 item in the Gift Shop.  Below is a link to an application form which can be downloaded, printed, and mailed to the Museum.  We will send you a membership card within two weeks of receiving the membership application.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT

 

B-36 Peacemaker Museum has recently assumed custodial responsibility for the Strategic Air Command monument at Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base.  This action is to assure perpetual care for the monument that pays tribute to all SAC personnel who served during the Cold War.

 

To assure that costs related to the care of the monument and museum can be paid, personalized bricks are again being offered for sale.  Price of the bricks remains at $100.00 each and bricks can be ordered with the order form available on the monument's website www.sacmonument.com

 

 

 

 

Our museum of local aviation history is continuing to grow. The most recent addition is a pair of propellers and nose wheels from an early model of the huge B-36 "PEACEMAKER" bomber.  The display has been faithfully restored and is ready for viewing (see video below).  Additionally, we have the mechanical flight control system from a B-58 "HUSTLER" supersonic bomber, a dirigible engine from the "Golden Age of Airships", a nose gunsight from a B-36 and a 20mm gun turret cannon from a B-36.  Many rare historical objects from Fort Worth's aviation past round out our exhibits.

B-36 Peacemaker Museum, OV-10 Bronco Museum, and Forward Air Control Museum have come together at the Veterans Memorial Air Park (VMAP) at 3300 Ross Ave, Fort Worth, Texas.  One small admission price includes all three museums.

VMAP is a member of Blue Star Museums and offers free admission to active duty service personnel and their families. Click the BLUE STAR MUSEUM logo for more information.

We are open to the public during the following times:

 Free public lectures

 B-36 Peacemaker Museum provides free lectures each month during our regular meeting as a public service. Our speakers include engineers, local aviation historians, book authors, military veterans and many others. Join us on the third Tuesday evening of each month for an evening of entertainment and enlightenment.
